A daily mistake in coffee consumption can increase blood sugar

Practically every person drinks coffee in the morning. For many it's just a habit, for others it's a way to cheer up after a sleepless night. Most often, coffee is drunk immediately after waking up, but in this case, the morning drink can cause great harm to health.

According to a new study, drinking coffee before breakfast has a negative effect on blood sugar levels. To prove this, a group of 30 healthy people went through three different experiments.

In the first one, they slept, after which they drank coffee in the morning. In the second, participants woke up for five minutes every hour during the night and then also drank coffee. In the third, the volunteers were kept up all night, after which they were given strong coffee 30 minutes before breakfast

In all three scenarios, the researchers monitored the participants' blood glucose levels. It turned out that one night of poor sleep did not necessarily affect blood sugar and insulin levels. However, when the study participants drank coffee before breakfast after a sleepless night, their blood sugar levels shot up by 50%.

In other words, this indicator is disrupted when the first thing a person does is drink coffee. before breakfast, especially the field of bad sleep or its complete absence. Researchers believe that this can be corrected if, after waking up, you eat first and then drink coffee.

In addition, experts are sure that if you consume coffee at the “right” time, it can benefit the body. For example, this drink reduces muscle soreness after training, improves mood and reduces the risk of depression.

Also, thanks to antioxidants, the drink is able to protect against several chronic diseases, including heart disease and cancer, as well as reduce fat deposits. .
