Drinking tea as a daily habit can continue human life, said British therapist Nyza Aslam.
Simple adjustments can make a big difference in a lifestyle that promotes longevity, Dr. Aslam said. According to the therapist, a few cups of tea a day can help you live longer. The doctor advises to drink two or three cups of the drink.
The expert refers to a study published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology. Researchers found that daily tea consumption was associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease and death from all causes. They analyzed the habits of 100,902 participants who had no history of heart attack, stroke or cancer. The participants were divided into two groups: “people who regularly drink tea” (more than three days a week), and “never or rarely drink tea” (less than three days a week). They were observed for an average of 7.3 years.
As a result, the scientists concluded that the habit of drinking several cups of tea every day is associated with healthier years of life and a longer lifespan. For example, analyzes have shown that 50-year-old people who regularly drink tea have a lower risk of developing coronary heart disease and stroke, and they live an average of 1.26 years longer than those who rarely drink it.
“There are many types of teas, each of which has a unique benefit potential. Green tea is exceptionally rich in flavonoids, which can help promote heart health by lowering bad cholesterol and reducing blood clotting,” Penn Medicine experts continued.
According to their data, research has shown that green tea can also reduce the risk of liver, breast, prostate, and intestinal cancer. All this can also help you live longer.
