A gas stove in an apartment can cause health problems

Immunologist: methane emitted by a gas stove contributes to the development of asthma and other problems.
The doctor warned in an interview about the negative impact of a gas stove operating in an apartment on the health of people living there. The doctor noted that such stoves emit methane, which can impair respiratory function and provoke allergies.
“Methane can cause inflammatory processes, as well as contribute to allergies, forming allergies to household mites, pets, and mold,” the doctor said.
At the same time, the specialist clarified: the mentioned risks are primarily related to a high concentration of gas in the room. This can happen, for example, when the stove is installed in an apartment with errors and a gas leak occurs. In addition, the methane content can increase due to poor ventilation, insufficient airing.
“A large amount of methane can trigger the development of asthma. And in those people who already suffer from this disease, attacks may become more frequent,” the doctor warned.
