Problems with blood pressure and a poor emotional state motivated a chef from Boston, who weighed 126 kg, to start losing weight. He set a goal of losing 22 kg in six months, but he managed to achieve more in less time. The success was in walking a lot and following a special diet.
Michael Scelfo, who lost 41 kg in four months, said that he started the path to improving his body with walking. This was the main part of his physical exercise. Later, realizing the results, the man began to add other physical activities to his daily routine.
The American also began to follow a strict diet focused on protein, with a lot of fiber, which he got from vegetables and some fruits. His diet excluded sweets, carbohydrates, oils and fats, and he consumed dairy products in minimal quantities. The total daily calorie content of the food eaten was about 1,500 kcal. But this figure was constantly overestimated based on the advice of the chef's doctor.
Now Michael Scelfo also follows a similar diet, but can afford a small “belly feast” on weekends. Thanks to his efforts, the American lost 41 kg and now weighs 85 kg.
The man admits that he feels much better, has energy and motivation to continue improving the result. Michael Scelfo advised those who want to lose weight to fully devote themselves to the process and not lose faith that everything will work out. He believes that in order to really start acting, many people will have to “reach rock bottom” in many relationships, as happened to him.
