However, the product has several disadvantages that should be taken into account. First of all, dried fruits contain a lot of sugar, so they are quite high in calories. For this reason, they should be consumed in extremely high doses, otherwise there is a risk of developing cardiovascular diseases and weight gain.
In addition, it is important to remember the content of sulfites in dried fruits. Many choose them incorrectly at first, preferring wrinkled and brown smooth and beautiful ones. However, dried fruit should not look very appetizing, as it loses water over time.
Therefore, some manufacturers have decided to treat the product with special compounds containing sulfites. It is they who give dried fruits a “look from the cover”. It is only worth considering that sulfites can seriously harm health.
Another disadvantage of dried fruits is mold. If the place where they lie is too wet, fungus forms very quickly on their surface. Although it is perfectly washed off with running water, there is not much pleasant about it.
