A new interesting way to learn to enjoy life from the people of Denmark

Hughe (hygge) is a Danish term used to denote a feeling of coziness and contentment. Important: how people get pleasure from simple things in life. Danes are considered to be one of the happiest people on the planet, and for good reason.
They regularly pay the highest taxes, but most believe that this contributes to the betterment of society. The term “hygge” comes from the Norwegian “nugga” and means “to comfort” or “soothe” and is similar to the English verb “hug” – “to hug”. The meaning of hygge lies in enjoying the simple things that surround us every day.
For example, make hot tea and read a book by the window, behind which the rain is falling. Or light candles and enjoy the cozy atmosphere in the house. Everyone can bring hygge to life thanks to simple tips.
Pay attention to lighting
Lighting is one of those things that doesn't require a lot of money. However, the correct arrangement is necessary. Use table lamps and floor lamps. And also try to keep overhead lighting to a minimum, especially if it's super bright. Lamps at body level create a warmer background. As a result, the room looks cozier and more attractive. Arrange many candles, but be careful with their scents, colors and shapes. Decorate the interior with various warm light bulbs. They will help to create a very soothing atmosphere, on which all the principles of hygge are concentrated.
Give interior items meaning
Instead of cluttering the shelves with a lot of books, souvenirs and cute little things, it is better to analyze which of them are of great importance to you. Fill the interior with convenient travel items. They will serve as a reason for conversation. And they will also bring you warm and positive emotions every time you look at them.
Invite close friends to spend time together
Hygge is not only design and home decor. Hygge also covers your life and the relationships you maintain with people close to you. You have to be very careful not only with who you spend time with. But also with whom you invite to your home, and that you do everything together. According to hygge, all people are considered equal. No one is trying to assert dominance over anyone. And no one tries to prove himself right. Hyuge is primarily harmony.
Warm up with warm drinks
Treat yourself to a cup of your favorite tea before going to bed. Or spend some time in the morning for a hot coffee. You only need a moment to literally “smell the smell of coffee”. Brew different types of tea or coffee, cocoa, hot chocolate, mulled wine, whatever is at hand.
Combine the outside and inside of the house
Leave doors open if possible and create open spaces. Place plants everywhere. It is believed that plants in the house have a health-improving effect, and it is also a natural means of purifying the air. Choosing plants and then caring for them on a daily basis is also what characterizes hygge. Buy a bouquet of flowers, separate the stems and arrange them in small vases. Place each vase where you like it.
Create an open space where you can entertain and sit with people who come to visit. You will be able to enjoy the sunshine. Or admiring the rain. Even if your house doesn't have a yard or a garden, you always have windows. Open them as often as possible. A constant flow of air is necessary to maintain a clean space.
