A number of products are useful in protecting against diseases caused by inflammation

Using such products helps the body produce bacteria capable of fighting inflammation.

Inflammation is the body's response to the penetration of a pathogen, it was conceived by evolution as a protective mechanism that accelerates healing and restoration of the body. As soon as the body returns to normal, inflammation should gradually subside and stop.

However, in some cases it becomes chronic, and this poses a serious threat to health, increasing the risks of various diseases, including cancer. To protect the body from the occurrence of chronic inflammation and associated diseases, doctors recommend, among other things, the use of certain products.

The following foods are believed to have the strongest anti-inflammatory effects. Consuming them significantly improves the body's defenses against diseases caused by inflammation.

Fatty fish. They are rich in omega-3 – this type of unsaturated fat has an anti-inflammatory effect on vascular tissue, which helps prevent heart disease.

Leafy vegetables. They are famous for their high content of vitamin A, vitamin C and calcium, as well as several phytochemicals and fiber. Their consumption has a positive effect on the intestinal flora, promoting the growth of “good” bacteria – this prevents the development of chronic inflammation.

Olive oil. It is rich in vitamin E, polyphenols and monounsaturated fatty acids, which help reduce the risk of heart disease by reducing vascular inflammation.

Whole grain.Rich in soluble and insoluble fiber, it effectively improves the state of intestinal microflora. Scientific evidence supports that whole grains can be a powerful ally in lowering cholesterol levels, as well as protecting against heart disease and diabetes, diseases closely linked to inflammation.

Yogurt. Contains probiotics – “good bacteria” that settle in the body and protect it from other, harmful bacteria.

Cruciferous vegetables. Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, radishes and others are rich in fiber, vitamins and phytochemicals such as indole, thiocyanic acids and nitriles, which improve protection against certain types of cancer.

Legumes. Studies show that legumes can reduce the risk of heart disease by fighting inflammation – this is facilitated by the high amount of fiber, folate and plant protein.

Tomatoes. Tomatoes are rich in vitamin C and lycopene, which are powerful antioxidants that can, for example, fight the development of prostate cancer. Tomatoes that have been cooked are especially high in lycopene.
