Researchers found that when taking 400 to 600 mg of onion extract per day, the amount of fasting glucose decreased by 35-50%.

At the same time, red onion preserves good cholesterol in the body, which helps protect against heart disease, and cleans the blood of “bad” cholesterol. Scientists from Hong Kong found that after eight weeks of regular intake of onion extract, the level of “harmful” cholesterol decreased by an average of 20%.
