The psychotherapist also said that suppressing negative emotions can lead to depression and the formation of painful addictions, in particular to alcohol.
In addition, the emotional background can affect physical well-being. Suppressed negative emotions, according to the doctor, can increase the manifestations of some diseases, for example, hypertension.
