How to make cuttings

One-year ripe and strong shoots should be cut from the currant bush. Their thickness is about the size of a pencil. We will cut cuttings from them.

The length of the cutting is approximately 15-20 cm. It should have 4-5 buds. Now the standard action: slices. An oblique cut is made under the lower bud, and a straight cut is made under the upper bud.

The cuttings should be inserted into the ground at an angle of 45 degrees. Deepen to the top bud. Tamp the soil around and water. With this method, there will be many roots, so the cuttings will be successful, and you will have many currant bushes next year.

To improve the germination effect, it is recommended to cover the cuttings with a film. It will create a favorable microclimate for rooting.
