Do you remember how, as a child, the smell of fresh buns filled the kitchen with warmth and comfort? Now you can easily make the same ones at home, even without much culinary experience. A simple recipe for milk buns guarantees that your pastries will be soft, fragrant and will perfectly complement your morning coffee or evening tea.
Ingredients:
- flour – 500 g;
- milk (warm) – 250 ml;
- sugar – 3 tbsp. l.;
- yeast (dry) – 7 g;
- egg – 1 pc.;
- butter – 50 g;
- salt – 1 tsp. l.
Add sugar and yeast to warm milk, leave for 5-7 minutes so that they “wake up” and foam forms. Meanwhile, sift the flour into a deep bowl, add salt and egg.
Pour milk with yeast into this mixture and knead the dough, adding melted butter. The dough should be soft and not sticky to your hands, so add a little flour if necessary.
Leave the dough in a warm place for an hour to double in size. Then form buns, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment, and leave for another 15-20 minutes to rise. Brush the top with a beaten egg and bake in an oven preheated to 180°C for 20-25 minutes.
The finished buns are rosy, fluffy and incredibly fragrant. They taste great on their own, or with jam or honey.
