A simple way to detect an impending heart attack has been discovered

A heart attack occurs when an artery that supplies the heart with blood and oxygen becomes blocked by a blood clot. The most common underlying cause of its formation is ischemic heart disease. During this condition, the coronary arteries become clogged with cholesterol deposits, which block blood flow.
According to doctors, there are several symptoms of a heart attack, including pain in the chest, arm or back, as well as severe shortness of breath and dizziness. However, some signs may indicate that danger is still approaching. In particular, doctors advise paying attention to the color of the tongue.
Experts warn that if it becomes bright red with a yellow coating, this indicates an increased risk of a rapid heart attack. The thing is that microorganisms living on this organ respond to changes in the body, starting to multiply more actively.
“Our study showed that the composition and number of dominant bacteria on the tongue membrane differ in patients with heart failure and healthy people,” said Dr. Tianhui Yuan from Guangzhou University Hospital.
This is associated with chronic hypocalcemia, which leads to cardiomyopathy and heart failure. “Hypocalcemia leads to a decrease in myocardial contractility, which can clinically lead to congestive heart failure. However, the underlying mechanisms linking plaque-causing microorganisms on the tongue to heart function deserve further study,” the scientist concluded.
