A sleep expert explained why you feel tired all the time

Among the possible causes of constant fatigue are anemia, diabetes, and mental disorders.
Sleep specialist James Wilson said in an interview what severe morning drowsiness and a feeling of fatigue that is felt all the time can mean. The expert called waking up in the dark one of the reasons for constant fatigue.
According to him, the brain is naturally programmed to respond to the rising sun by producing hormones responsible for wakefulness. If there is no light, these hormones are not produced.
Another factor that causes constant fatigue is using a smartphone immediately after waking up from sleep. Wilson said that if a person monitors the news or checks their email in this way, the brain is activated too quickly. After a night's sleep, the brain should gradually switch from slow (delta) waves to fast (gamma). With too sharp a transition to fast gamma waves, dangerous loads arise.
Also, the sleep expert noted, a feeling of constant fatigue can be a consequence of a person going to bed with an increased level of stress or having too much caffeine in their body during the day.
In addition, severe fatigue in the morning, as well as weakness and lethargy during the day, often occur due to vitamin D or iron deficiency, malnutrition, lack of exercise, and nocturnal sleep apnea. With apnea, a person's breathing stops for short periods of time during the night – symptoms of this disorder include heavy snoring, a feeling of fatigue and sudden attacks of drowsiness during the day.
“Possible medical causes of constant fatigue include anemia, diabetes, chronic fatigue syndrome, and mental disorders, including anxiety and depression.”
