Dermatological symptoms can be a type of cancer such as blood cancer: in some cases, the disease can exacerbate the body's reactions to hot water.
Common symptoms of blood cancer are believed to include the following changes with the body.
- Unexplained weight loss occurs.
- Unexplained bruising or bleeding occurs.
- Gums, swelling appear.
- Breathing becomes confused.
- Night sweats become more active.
Mayo Clinic experts advise paying attention to another symptom that, according to them, can appear after a hot shower.
“Every itch that aggravated after a hot shower, may signal polycythemia, a type of blood cancer that causes the bone marrow to produce too many red blood cells.
According to doctors, polycythemia means that the extra cells that are produced thicken the blood and prevent it from normal currents on the body. This can eventually cause serious problems related to abnormal blood clotting. In the early stages of this cancer, mast cells containing histamine (cells responsible for allergic reactions) become hypersensitive, causing the skin to react to hot water.
Experts recommend that all people over 40 years of age see a doctor if they notice that the skin began to tolerate bathing with severe irritation and itching. Other signs of blood cancer are an enlarged spleen, reddening of the skin on the face, bleeding gums, headache, blurred vision, fatigue, high blood pressure.
