American scientists told about this. It is noted that chicken can contain carriers of such dangerous diseases as campylobacteriosis, gas gangrene and salmonellosis.

Experts advise processing chicken on a separate cutting board, after which the board and countertop should be thoroughly washed with soap. Hands should also be washed with soap for at least 20 seconds afterwards.

Meat should be stored separately from other products in the refrigerator, covered with cling film.

Scientists recalled that about a million people get sick from eating poultry every year.
