Scientists decided to study the effect of ginger on aggregation (gluing, joining) of platelets. The publication reports on ten studies, including eight clinical trials and two observational studies. Out of eight clinical trials, the results of four indicated that ginger reduces platelet aggregation.

Anti-cholesterol

Ginger may protect the cardiovascular system by lowering cholesterol levels. LDL and increasing HDL cholesterol. It also helps reduce the risk of blood clotting, thereby helping to regulate hypertension and maintaining heart health, according to research (Saudi Med J, Science direct, Food Nutr Res).
