Against cancer and aging: scientists named the fruit for health and longevity

Regular inclusion of vegetables and fruits in the diet is considered one of the important elements of a healthy lifestyle. Scientists recommend paying special attention to peaches. These fruits contain a number of substances that can protect against the development of some diseases and help achieve longevity.
As nutritionist Maxine Smith said, peaches contain both soluble and insoluble fiber. The first variety contributes to the normalization of blood sugar and cholesterol control, the second is useful for the work of the gastrointestinal tract.
Antioxidants contained in peaches slow down the aging process and associated diseases, and carotenoids and caffeic acid have an anti-tumor effect.
Experts from Washington State University and Texas A&M University conducted a study that confirmed: substances that contained in peaches, slow down the growth of cancer cells and their ability to spread in the body. Scientists conducted experiments with laboratory mice, during which the rodents were given polyphenols from peaches.
Mice that received these substances showed a slowdown in the growth of cancer tumors. In addition, it was possible to suppress the process of metastasis (the spread of a pathogenic agent from the primary to another site in the body).
As noted by Washington State University nutrition expert Juliana Noratto, this and some other studies confirm that polyphenols, which contained in peaches, protect DNA from damage associated with the development of oncology.
Research in this field involving people has not been conducted. However, Noratto, extrapolating the results of her experiment to humans, said that she would recommend eating two or three peaches every day.
