275 young people between the ages of 16 and 25 from Mumbai were divided into two groups. The participants of the first group received 56 g of raw almonds every day, which corresponds to about 5 nuts, and the control group consumed snacks made of various types of flour and spices.
These people had snacks twice a day, but otherwise maintained their usual lifestyle and regular diet and exercise regimen. It should be noted that each of the experiment participants already had metabolic markers that indicated prediabetes.
