American cardiologists: the best food for the heart is fish
The American Heart Association has released new dietary guidelines, stating that when it comes to healthy sources of protein, the best food is fish. White fish appetizer is tasty, easy to prepare and good for the heart.
“We recommend people to eat fish at least twice a week. This makes for a hearty dish that's relatively low in saturated fat compared to something like a hamburger or a custard pie,” said Alice H. Lichtenstein, senior research fellow and director of the Division of Cardiovascular Nutrition. Tufts University Laboratory in Boston.
“Fish doesn't take long to cook, and there are many different ways to cook it,” Lichtenstein said. “Fish is very flexible when it comes to cooking methods and combinations with other ingredients.”

What side dish do you eat with? fish is also important. According to representatives of the American Heart Association, fresh greens are the best, especially cilantro, avocado, onion and garlic. If you want variety, add pieces of pineapple, broccoli and brown rice.
