An effective way to get rid of belly fat has been named

American scientists have stated that physical activity can reduce fat mass in people over 50 years of age.

The American Geriatrics Society noted that volunteers did interval training for ten weeks.

The volunteers attended training three times a week. At first, interval training lasted for 18 minutes. Gradually, their duration increased to 36 minutes. Exercises alternated with rest periods. So, 40 seconds were allocated for physical activity, then 20 seconds for rest. After that, a new series of exercises followed, and after 40 seconds – a break, and so on.

As a result, people who strictly followed the instructions had a decrease in fat mass by almost a third. At the same time, the volunteers gained muscle mass.

The researchers noted an important feature: ten weeks of training significantly reduced the mass of fat on the abdomen in men, but were less effective for women. What this is connected with, the scientists intend to find out in the framework of the new work.

It is noted that the interval training practiced by the volunteers can be performed at home. This does not require any special equipment.
