An error in cooking pies that causes them to not turn out golden brown

Pies are a favorite treat of many people. But not all housewives know how to cook them correctly. Are your pies burnt or raw? Then you should eliminate some mistakes that can ruin the dish.

Do not put the pies on the pan too early

You do not need to put the pies on the pan if it has not yet heated up. This causes the dough to swell, so you can only dream of a smooth crust.

You need to pour oil into the pan and wait three minutes for it to heat up. But you don’t need to drag the patties, as this will negatively affect their taste.

Inappropriate temperature regime

Choose the minimum power level of the stove, as this will allow you to fry the patties well. If the temperature is too high, the crust will become rough.

Turn the patties several times to get an even surface color.

The patties are fried for five minutes on each side. However, the size of the workpieces affects the cooking time.

Add a pinch of salt to the oil so that it does not splash.

A frying pan with a lid

You don't need to cover the pan with a lid if you've started cooking the patties. They need time to set and become an appetizing golden hue.

Due to condensation, the dough gets soggy, so cooking the patties takes much longer.

You can cover the pan with a lid if there is little time left before the dish is finished cooking.

Using low-quality oil

The patties are fried in olive, sunflower or rapeseed oil. In addition, coconut oil is very popular among supporters of healthy eating.

Experienced chefs recommend cooking patties in refined oil, which is transparent. This product is stored in a glass container, as this will preserve the quality of the oil.

Unrefined oil can only be used if the kitchen is equipped with a high-quality ventilation system.

Remember that it has a specific smell that many people do not like.
