Another reason has been found not to let teenagers spend too much time on social media

A new study conducted by experts from Canada has shown that more active use of social networks is associated with low self-esteem in adolescents and eating disorders.

A recent scientific study has confirmed that the most active users of social networks most often suffer from low self-esteem. Moreover, this is observed from the first year of using social networks.

Low self-esteem can persist and lead to eating disorders. Symptoms of these disorders appear after two years.

As part of the study, experts surveyed about 3,800 young people every year for five years. The survey was conducted in 30 high schools.
