Any form of obesity is dangerous to health.

British scientists studied whether people with obesity and a normal metabolic profile (MHO) are healthy, or whether they also have a higher risk of developing health problems.
The study showed that having a normal metabolic profile does not mean that a person with obesity is actually healthy, as they face an increased risk of diabetes, heart disease, strokes and respiratory problems.
The authors analyzed data from 381,000 people. The median follow-up period was 11.2 years. Compared with metabolically healthy non-obese (MHN) participants, MHO participants were 4.3 times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes, 18% more likely to have a heart attack or stroke, 76% more likely to have heart failure, 28% more likely to have respiratory disease, and 19% more likely to have COPD.
