Attractive people have a stronger immune system

Scientists from Texas Christian University came to an interesting conclusion about the connection between appearance and immunity. Based on blood tests, they determined that outwardly attractive people have a stronger immune system.
Beauty helps people not only in amorous affairs, but also in their own health, as it provides stronger immunity. Beauty is usually associated with such characteristics of appearance as a symmetrical face, bright eyes, correct facial features, as well as conformity to the stereotypes of beauty that are currently prevailing in mass culture.
It turned out that all these can also be signs a more developed ability to resist infections, as shown by a study of blood tests of people who are considered beautiful and not so beautiful.
Researchers believe that we are attracted to beautiful people because we instinctively choose healthier partners. And people with strong immunity meet the ideals of beauty due to the desire to have partners who will not have to look after for years.
The researcher is convinced that when a person comes to a bar in the hope of meeting someone, he orients himself on a conscious level on attractiveness, and on a subconscious level – on instincts that allow him to single out healthy people.
152 people of both sexes took part in the study. They were photographed without makeup and with a neutral facial expression. Then about 500 volunteers looked at their photo cards and determined the level of activity.
The most beautiful men or women, according to this survey, also had the highest level of phagocytosis. This is a process in which white blood cells destroy bacteria before they can cause serious problems in the body.
