Avramenko explained which accent in the word “embroidery” is correct

Many people argue about incorrect accents in words. In particular, disputes can occur over the word “embroidery”, in which the emphasis is placed on the second or third syllable.

The famous Ukrainian linguist, philologist, teacher Oleksandr Avramenko listed a number of words in which you can – to emphasize differently. He told about this for “Breakfast with 1+1”.

“Remember, this word can be emphasized in two ways. And “vyshIvanka” and “vyshivAnka”, emphasized Avramenko.

Other examples of words in which emphasis can be placed on different syllables are “also”, “probably” and “spring”. The latter refers to the second and third syllables.

At the same time, we write and say the word “embroidered” exclusively with an emphasis on the second syllable.

Remember, earlier linguists explained in which cases it is correct to use the word “ticket”, and which have “ticket”.
