Researchers believe that they have discovered a cure for baldness. This can be achieved due to the accumulation of chemicals that initially cause hair loss.

It is about TGF-beta – a protein that not only controls the growth of follicles, but can also cause their death. Californian scientists believe that its level can be controlled, which will prevent hair loss.

In the US alone, about 40 million Americans have baldness, and although many men accept it as a normal part of the aging process, the discovery suggests that there is method of preventing hair loss.

This discovery allows one step closer to mastering the control mechanism that provokes baldness. Scientists conducted simulations that showed that an increased concentration of the protein TGF-beta, which occurs naturally in follicles, can be toxic to them, leading to the death of follicles and, as a result, to hair loss.
