The People's Deputy emphasized that those citizens who do not return to Ukraine to update their military registration data should “surrender their Ukrainian passports and take others”.
Maryana Bezugla made a new scandalous statement on live air about the strengthening of mobilization in Ukraine and updating the data of conscripts, which should end by July 16. The statement was made in the new edition of the public talk show “New Count”.
In addition to Maryana Bezugloi (“Servant of the People”), People's Deputy Yulia Klymenko (“The Voice”) and Serhiy Krivonos, Major General of the Armed Forces Reserve, First Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (2016-2019), also took part in the talk show.
Bezugla stated that citizens of Ukraine who will not return to the country to update their data should surrender their passports and take others, which outraged other participants in the discussion. She said this in response to Klymenko's remark that Ukrainians abroad should come to Ukraine to update their data, or they will be declared wanted.
“Okay, let him hand over his Ukrainian passport – he'll take another one,” Bezugla said. Klymenko asked whether the People's Deputy member of the “Servant of the People” is ready to lose 11 million people who are currently abroad.
“And they are ours?” Bezugla asked, for which she was also criticized by her fellow Member of the People's Deputies. , and other participants in the discussion, including the presenter.
“Yes, they are ours! These are our citizens! Maryana, for 20 years they sent Ukraine 18 billion dollars annually,” Klymenko reported, noting that these guest workers did not take their families away, but sent them funds that were spent in Ukraine and with which the budget was replenished and people's deputies were fed, including Bezugla : “… our guest workers who fed you, including taxes! Because these people did not take their families out, but sent money here! 18 billion is ten times more than what international organizations give,” said Klymenko.
“Did they give up their relatives?” Bezugla said in response. She wanted to make two more statements, but the talk show time ran out.
