Black currant accelerates metabolism and burns visceral fat

Visceral fat accumulates in abdominal cavity and sits next to vital organs, including the liver, stomach and intestines, compressing them.
Visceral fat is considered one of the most toxic fats for the body because it releases harmful chemicals into the bloodstream. The longer a person “wears” it, the higher the risk of heart attack and other health problems.
You can't do without diet and exercise if you want to get rid of these dangerous accumulations. Products will also help. So, black currant increases metabolism by 27 percent, British experts note. Berries are particularly beneficial in reducing visceral fat due to their unprecedented concentration of antioxidants.
Fiber-rich foods have been shown to promote visceral fat loss. Blackcurrants contain both antioxidants and dietary fiber.
— Studies have shown that blackcurrant supplements may stimulate fat burning during exercise, and some evidence suggests that they may increase basal fat burning rate and at rest,” sports nutritionist Kate Shilland told Woman and Home.
A study published in the journal Nutrients reported that blackcurrant extract reduced body weight, visceral fat mass, serum triglycerides, total cholesterol, and LDL cholesterol in rats.
Supplements derived from blackcurrant have a stronger effect on people with a higher BMI (body mass index). Overall, participants saw a 17-21% increase in fat burning when walking for 30 minutes over the 14 days they took the supplement.
In one study, 16 women took 600 mg of blackcurrant extract daily for a week. After this period, the participants cycled for two hours, and their blood samples were collected at the start and at 15-minute intervals throughout the exercise. It is noted that the extract increased the average oxidation of fat by 27 percent.
– Taking the extract for seven days increased the concentration of NEFA and glycerol in resting plasma, which indicates higher rates of lipolysis, experts said.
