Black tea can be effective in reducing sugar levels

A study found that drinking black tea can have the effect of significantly lowering blood sugar levels within the next 60 minutes.

In particular, according to a study published by the Asia-Pacific Journal of Clinical Nutrition, black tea can effectively counteract increasing the level of glucose (sugar) in the blood in healthy people, as well as in people with prediabetes. Its participants are men and women aged 20 to 60 who have had no health problems and are prone to this disorder, which means that the blood sugar level is elevated, although diabetes is not yet present.
В during the trials, participants consumed a sugary drink, after which they were given black tea or a placebo. Blood samples were taken from the volunteers at different time intervals. The effect of reducing sugar levels was recorded within 60 minutes after taking black tea.
“Drinking black tea can lower blood glucose levels after consuming sucrose,” the researchers concluded.
