The study showed that it is much more beneficial for people to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. And various capsules that promise to strengthen brain health do not have any significant effect.
Residents of the United States and many other developed countries of the world spend hundreds of millions of dollars a year on dietary supplements that are supposed to strengthen brain health. A recent study showed that one in four American adults over the age of 50 takes some kind of brain supplement.
But the same study confirmed that the effectiveness of these supplements is practically zero, and people could be much more useful to buy vegetables and fruits. Dietary supplements simply do not work.
Experts who are actively involved in research on neurological disorders emphasize that none of the minerals, herbal tinctures, amino acids and similar ingredients that are part of these supplements have virtually no effect on brain health. With much less financial costs and with much greater intensity, a person could buy fresh fruits and vegetables that are truly beneficial for the brain.
