“Pearl groats contain lysine, which participates in the production of collagen, and it, in turn, slows down the process of the appearance of age-related wrinkles,” explained the doctor.
The doctor-nutritionist, doctor of medical sciences, professor said that he considers pearl barley and buckwheat porridge to be the most useful. At the same time, pearl porridge, according to the expert, is more attractive in winter, as it is particularly nutritious and “supports the surfactant complex, preventing illness.” The specialist also noted the benefits of porridge with pumpkin, including for weight loss.
“But Hercules and semolina porridge clutter the body. The same buckwheat has 10 times more trace elements than Hercules. The latter, among other things, prevents phytic acid from being absorbed,” the professor emphasized.
