By 2100, the Earth's population will decrease by one billion

Constant and almost explosive growth in the number of people on our planet will reach its peak in 2064, after which it will decline. It is expected that between 11.25 and 28.24 million people will live in Ukraine by 2100.

However, the current situation with the birth rate in the world will initially contribute to continued population growth, after which from 2064 (9.7 billion people, according forecast) it will begin to decrease to 8.7 billion by 2100 due to better access to contraceptives and education.

India, China, Pakistan, the USA and Nigeria will remain the leaders of growth until 2100. By the same year, the population of Japan, Thailand, Italy and Spain will decrease by more than 50%. It is expected that the number of Chinese citizens will decrease by 48% (!), as the country will not be able to provide an adequate level of social security to such a number of fellow citizens.

By 2100, the number of people over 65 will reach 2.37 billion, and under 20 – 1.7 billion. This shows the continuing trend of population aging, due to which the burden on working people is constantly increasing.
