Cancer symptoms: three warning signs that indicate the disease

Most often, such a dangerous disease as cancer does not manifest itself for a long time and is detected only in the late stages. However, it is early diagnosis that allows for favorable predictions regarding treatment. Therefore, each person needs to listen more to their body and the changes that occur in it.
Doctors warn about three conditions that can be symptoms of cancer. They should not be ignored and it is better to consult a doctor.
Weight loss
According to the American Cancer Society, unexplained weight loss is often the first noticeable symptom of cancer of the esophagus, pancreas, stomach or lung.
Ovarian cancer can cause weight loss when the tumor is large enough. It presses on the abdomen, which can make a woman feel full sooner. Other types of cancer can cause symptoms such as nausea, loss of appetite, and difficulty chewing and swallowing. This can also lead to weight loss.
About 40% of people experience unexplained weight loss before their diagnosis. However, weight can fluctuate dramatically for other reasons.
Change in the appearance of a mole
The first sign of melanoma is often a new mole or a change in the appearance of an existing mole. Normal moles are usually round or oval, with smooth edges. According to the National Health Service in the United Kingdom, a large mole does not always indicate cancer. “A healthy mole can be larger than 6 mm in diameter, while a malignant mole can be smaller than that,” the organization says.
Changes in the body's functioning
These can indicate both temporary infections and more serious causes for concern. For example, frequent, weak, and intermittent urination or blood in the urine are early signs of prostate cancer.
