French doctors state that frequent consumption of certain products can increase the risk of breast cancer by approximately 20 percent.

The researchers analyzed the results of 20 years of observation of 65 thousand postmenopausal women. In their study, they studied the difference in health indicators between women who ate fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts and legumes and women who ate refined carbohydrates.
“Those who followed a healthier diet had a 14 percent lower risk of breast cancer. Participants who ate refined carbohydrates had a 20 percent higher risk of developing the disease,” the experts concluded.
