Experts have named the signs of an approaching heart attack, which are also symptoms of heart problems, and therefore deserve attention in any case.
Cardiologists from the British Heart Foundation have revealed the signs that can warn of a heart attack a few days or even weeks before a heart attack. As experts have noted, two out of three patients complain of discomfort a few days or even weeks before a heart attack.
Most often, these are signs of impaired coronary circulation: chest pain, which can radiate to the back, arms, stomach, jaw. But patients also experience nausea, sweating, dizziness, and fatigue. And people often do not associate these symptoms with the heart, but explain them by other causes.
As cardiologists have noted, atypical symptoms are often accompanied by typical ones, or a general deterioration in condition is observed. There is another symptom – a causeless feeling of anxiety.
Experts also reminded that giving up bad habits, moderate physical activity, and proper nutrition will help support the heart. The most beneficial for the cardiovascular system is the Mediterranean diet, which is based on vegetables, fruits, whole grain bread, fish, and a minimum amount of meat.
Meanwhile, Dr. Tianhui Yuan from Guangzhou University Hospital added that a change in the color of the tongue can indicate heart failure. In healthy people, it is pale red with a white coating, while in patients the coating turns yellow and the tongue becomes brighter.
