Certain kitchen habits can deprive a person of health

Doctors claim that some people's cooking habits can negatively affect their health.
Using one sponge.Often, a sponge for washing dishes begins to be used in the kitchen for wiping and washing various objects and surfaces. This habit contributes to the fact that the sponge quickly becomes a haven for numerous harmful bacteria. Doctors advise not only to regularly change the sponge for dishes, but also not to wash anything else with it.
Defrosting on the countertop. Another tip from experts: for health and safety reasons it is not necessary to defrost the meat on the table, as this can turn its surface into an environment where potentially dangerous microorganisms multiply.
Rinsing the meat. Many people are convinced that the first step to preparing meat dishes is to wash it. But experts call rinsing it under a stream of water in the kitchen sink one of those household habits that can deprive a person of health. In many cases, meat does not require washing at all, heat treatment effectively “disinfects” it. If you cannot avoid washing, then it is better to do it in a separate container – rinsing under the tap produces splashes that spread bacteria on all surfaces around.
Careless arrangement in the refrigerator. Cooked food or food should always be stored covered in it. In addition, the products should not come into contact, nor should they be stored for too long. Improper storage contributes to the growth of harmful microbes, the loss of essential nutrients and the destruction of the texture of products.
Neglect of cleanliness. Hobs and cutting boards must be regularly and thoroughly washed and, if possible, disinfected. Kitchen towels and tablecloths must be changed regularly. Separate cutting boards must be used for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
