Chamberlain winter sauce for potatoes, salads, soups and meat

Rich taste and universal use are the main reasons to prepare this sauce for the winter. It is not only tasty, but also useful. The advantage of this recipe is that it is easy to prepare. It can be added to various dishes. It tastes great with potatoes, pasta, meat.

How to cook

Chamberlain sauce is prepared from the following ingredients:

  • onion – 300 g;
  • pea pepper – 10 pieces;

  • sugar – 100 g;
  • salt – 2 tsp;
  • vegetable oil – 5 tbsp .;
  • vinegar 9% – 50 ml.

You need to remove the skin from the tomatoes. For this, cross-shaped incisions are made on the vegetables. Immerse them in boiling water, and then in cold water. Such shock therapy allows you to quickly get rid of the skins.

Tomatoes are cut into slices. Together with them, chopped onions, peppercorns, cloves and bay leaves are added to the pan. Vegetable oil, salt and sugar are also added to the vegetables and the aromatic component. Bring everything to a boil and boil for 8 minutes. At the end, vinegar is poured in so that the preservation can be stored without any problems.

The sauce is placed in sterilized and clean jars, covered with lids and closed. If the lids are metal for twisting, they must be treated with boiling water. The finished jars are turned over, covered with a towel and left to cool. Enjoy!
