Leukemia occurs when the white blood cells that are produced from bone marrow cells. This type of cancer is considered one of the most insidious – its delayed forms can remain unnoticed for years, and acute forms develop literally in a matter of days.
Most often, patients with leukemia complain of constant fatigue and weakness. It is also characterized by a decrease in immunity and literally any viruses and bacteria can get attached. It is normal for an adult to get sick 5-7 times a year without complications, in other cases you need to see a doctor to check the condition of the body. As for leukemia, with this disease, both fatigue and a decrease in the body's defenses increase over time.
Another fairly frequent and characteristic symptom is bleeding. Bruises may appear for no reason, internal bleeding, nasal, intestinal and other bleeding are less common.
There may be breathing problems with leukemia. Patients complain of shortness of breath, a feeling of lump in the chest. An enlarged spleen can also cause pain and heaviness in the upper abdomen, which is often mistaken for chest pain.
Symptoms also include night sweats, frequent headaches, pale skin, and enlarged lymph nodes. In the acute form, fever, bleeding gums, and an allergy-like rash may occur.
