
Church Holidays: Which of them will be celebrated by believers in March

Orthodox Church of Ukraine ( PCU) in September 2023 made a transition to a new calendar of holidays. Now the PCU parishioners celebrate all non -transitional Orthodox holidays for 13 days.
In March, believers will celebrate the following holidays:
March 1 – Reverend Martyr Evdokia; all of Russia; Basiliska;
March 4 – Reverend Gerasima, in Jordan, Martyrs of Paul and Julian; March 6 – memory of 42 martyrs from the city of Ammorea, Constantine and his mother Helen;
March 7 – the Holy Martyrs who were bishops in Chersonese: Basil, Ephraim, Capiton, Eugene and others;
March 10 – Martyrs Codrat, Cyprian, Annecta and Kryskent;
March 11 – Saints of Sophronius, Antipa and Efimia;
March 12 – Reverend Theophanes, St. Gregory of two -Vioslov, Reverend Simeon of a New Theologian;
March 13 – St. Nikifor, Patriarch of Constantinople; Martyrs of Christina Persian;
March 14 – Reverend Benedict; St. Feognost, Metropolitan of Kiev;
March 15 – Martyr Agapi and with him seven martyrs: Pullius, Tymolaya, Romila, two Alexander and two Dionysiiv; Alexander's Holy Martyr;
March 17 – Reverend Alexei, the man of God; Martyr Marina;
March 18 – St. Cyril, Archbishop of Jerusalem, Trofima Martyrs and Evkarpia. Beginning of Lent;
March 19 – Holy Martyrs of Chrysant and Daria; Jacob, Bishop of Katan; March is the Reverend Martyr of Nikon and his students; Reverend Zachary;
March 25 – the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary; Cathedral of the Archangel Gabriel;
March 27 – Martyrs Martyrs;
March 28 – Reverend Hilarion of the New; Reverend Stephan; >
Eastern Christians have a tradition of commemorating dead relatives. There are special commemorative days for this. Recall when there will be parental Saturdays in 2025.
