The husk of the beans from which chocolates are made has been found to be beneficial for those who are losing weight.

Employees at the University of Illinois decided to find out if there is any sweet and beloved food that can and even should be eaten on a diet. Scientists succeeded, they came to unexpected conclusions – cocoa bean husks will help people lose weight.

It is called “cocoa husk” and was recently considered a very useless waste product in the production of chocolate bars.

– We analyzed the husks and came to the conclusion that they contain useful extracts. Moreover, they are able to convert white fat cells into borax. Therefore, a person burns excess calories faster and begins to use up reserves and lose weight, – comments Daniel Klint, a member of the research group.

In addition, scientists found that phenolic compounds live in the skin of cocoa beans, and they reduce the risk of stroke, type 2 diabetes and other diseases that can develop against the background of obesity.

Experts also noted that cocoa husks are used by manufacturers to create low-quality chocolate. This product also has contraindications. Therefore, before using it, you should consult a specialist.
