Australian researchers have announced the benefits of coffee in the field of physical activity and sports. According to scientists, the main component of coffee, caffeine, not only invigorates and improves concentration, but also increases endurance – all this directly affects the results of sports activities.
In favor of this opinion of scientists are the results of a meta-analysis of more than 300 studies that analyzed the effects of caffeine on people's physical activity. The researchers stated: drinking coffee approximately 45-90 minutes before training makes it more effective. For example, in this case, people perform more weight exercises in the gym. Caffeine also improves the results of those who are involved in running and cycling.
“To improve sports performance, a dose of caffeine from 3 to 6 mg per kilogram of weight is required,” the authors of the work calculated.
At the same time, experts warn against caffeine abuse.
