Coffee helps to lose weight, but it depends on the time of its consumption

When we consume caffeine, it affects metabolism and the ability to lose extra pounds.
Is it possible to lose weight with the help of coffee, caffeine? This question has been widely studied in science. In particular, researchers from the University of Nottingham did not publish in the journal Scientific Reports data that coffee contributes to the “burning” of fat cells. According to them, the stimulant drink is useful for weight loss because it specifically stimulates brown adipose tissue.
The experts obtained their findings in experiments with cell cultures and tested them in a study involving nine women and men aged (on average) 27 years. It turned out that after coffee, the brown adipose tissue “warmed up significantly”, causing a great activation inside the normal fat cells. As a result, they “burned” faster.
Some studies show that coffee can affect feelings of hunger and appetite. Overweight patients studied by scientists felt full faster after drinking coffee and, therefore, ate less during subsequent meals. As a result, it was easier for them to try to lose weight.
“Caffeine affects the hormones leptin and peptide YY, which determine our feeling of satiety,” the scientists reported.
At the same time, the heirs assume that that the weight loss effect associated with coffee can be jealous of the time of its consumption. Coffee is believed to have the most significant effect on fat cells if consumed between 9:30 and 11:30. The reason lies in the level of cortisol.
Cortisol is a hormone responsible for alertness, as well as metabolism, the immune system and blood pressure. Taking coffee with a high level of cortisol in the body leads to stress. If the level of cortisol decreases, coffee can give a charge of energy and affect the body, including contributing to weight loss.
