Doctors advise regularly checking the content of bad cholesterol in the body, since too high a concentration of this substance disrupts the normal functioning of many organs. However, high cholesterol levels can be detected even without visiting a hospital.
Doctors from the UK have noticed that due to high cholesterol levels, special signs begin to appear on the body. For example, even some manifestations on the face can indicate danger.
The most obvious symptom that indicates the presence of a large amount of cholesterol is yellow areas around the eyes, called xanthelasmas.
According to doctors, such formations appear in the area of the inner corner of the eye or on the upper eyelid.
