Ficus Benjamin is one of the most popular plants for home cultivation. A beautiful and green crown looks beautiful, so it is often used for landscaping interiors. However, it is difficult to talk about such a thing when the plant does not grow green mass of varietal size, and also constantly sheds leaves.
What is happening to the ficus
Inspect the plant. If its branches have leaves that are all small in size, this does not indicate a lack of light. Benjamin's ficus is one of the plants that needs to be provided with a light regime. With a deficiency, the leaves grow small in size. In addition, they fall off.
Remove the ficus from the pot. You need to check the soil. If it has become too dense, you need to replace it. Such a substrate does not allow moisture to seep in normally. In addition, it does not dry out. This creates conditions for the root system to rot.
The old substrate must be removed, the roots cleaned of rot, disinfected and transplanted into new soil. The main task is to increase the sufficient volume of the root system. Then Benjamin's ficus will have green leaves, of normal size and in large quantities.
