Diet for weight loss: the classic mistakes when losing weight are named

Trying to achieve the desired scales, many of those who go on a diet make unfortunate mistakes. They can not only slow down the result, but also harm health. Australian nutritionist Sue Shepherd named the classic mistakes of the diet for weight loss.
Lack of nutrients
Diets to lose weight usually involve reducing portions or the number of meals. This can lead to a lack of nutrients.
Many people focus solely on the number of calories (or kilojoules) consumed, but it is necessary to make sure that the body receives the necessary vitamins and minerals during the diet, according to the expert.
“For this reason, it's important that the foods you eat are nutrient dense, in other words, have the maximum amount of nutrients for the number of kilojoules they contain,” said the nutritionist.
If you try to lose weight, she recommends including more fruits and vegetables in the diet, which are rich in nutrients but contain few calories. You also need to consult a nutritionist to make sure that you are getting all the necessary vitamins and minerals with food.
Wrong choice of products
Yogurt, marshmallow, marmalade, crackers are just some of the products that may be labeled “99% fat-free” or “less than 5% fat.” And it really is. However, this does not necessarily mean that they will help you lose weight, according to the nutritionist.
Despite the fact that such products contain only a small percentage of fat, they can still be very high in calories. And the main reason for weight gain is precisely the consumption of too many calories. It's best to watch portion sizes for all foods, both low-fat and regular, advises Sue Shepherd.
