Diet pie with cabbage in a hurry

Quick, hearty, juicy. Flies off the table instantly! Filled low-calorie pie with cabbage is prepared on the basis of yogurt. You will spend a few minutes on the filling dough and the filling, and the oven will do the rest. Such a pie will help when guests are on the doorstep and in cases when you don't want to stand at the stove for a long time.

Ingredients:

Dough:

  • Yogurt (natural 6%) – 200 g
  • Wheat flour – 100 g
  • Egg (large) – 1 pc.
  • Soda – 0.5 tsp. l.
  • Salt to taste
  • Filling:

    • White cabbage – 400 g
    • Carrot – 1 pc.
    • Parsley (3 sprigs) – 10 g

    • Dill (3 sprigs) – 10 g
    • Salt to taste

    Preparation:

    Start making the pie with the dough. Take a large selected egg. If the eggs are small, take 2 pieces. But consider that then you may need a little more flour. You can supplement or replace the cabbage filling with other ingredients to your taste: rice, mushrooms, etc.

    In a bowl, beat an egg with salt.

    Add natural yogurt and beat again. Yogurt is better to take fatter (6-9%). Yogurt can be replaced with sour cream with a fat content of 10-15%.

    Pour the sifted flour and mix. The result should be a semi-thick dough with the consistency of sour cream. Depending on the quality of the flour, you may need a little more or a little less.

    Add soda to the mass and mix. Leave the dough for 15 minutes. During this time, it will increase in volume and become airy. Turn on the oven at 180 degrees.

    While the dough is infusing, make the filling. In cabbage, remove the upper damaged leaves. Shred the cabbage, mash a little, so that the cabbage became soft and released a little juice. Fresh cabbage can be replaced with sauerkraut. It usually already contains carrots, so it remains only to add greens.

    Peel the carrot from the skin and grate it.

    Wash the dill and parsley, shake off moisture and finely chop. If desired, you can replace or supplement with other greens, for example, cilantro, green onions, or use a mixture of different herbs.

    Combine cabbage, carrots, and greens in a bowl. Salt everything and mix.

    Line a baking form (Ø 20 cm) with parchment and grease with oil. Spread half of the filling dough and spread evenly. Spread the filling evenly over the dough.

    Spread the remaining dough on top and flatten. If desired, sprinkle with sesame seeds for beauty. Bake the cake in an oven heated to 180℃ for about 40 minutes until golden brown.
