Diet shawarma with chicken in 20 minutes

An oriental dish – shawarma or shawarma, is very popular with many Ukrainians. It is quite simple to prepare, and the filling can be varied to your taste. You can add Korean carrots, cabbage, mushrooms, bell pepper or various other vegetables to it. To make the shawarma more dietary, this recipe used chicken breasts, and mayonnaise was replaced with sour cream. Shawarma is also hearty and tasty.
Ingredients for preparing two portions:
- Chicken fillet – 250 g;
- Cucumber – 1 pc.;
- Tomato – 1 pc.;
- Dutch cheese – 200 gr.;
- Sour cream – 100 gr.;
- Lavash thin or wheat roll – 1 pc.;
- Salt, dill, dill – to taste;
- Onion – 1 medium head;
- Garlic – 1-2 cloves .
First, finely chop the chicken breast and fry it in a pan without oil for 15-20 minutes on medium heat. Salt the meat, you can sprinkle it with smoked paprika.
While the meat is frying, cut cucumbers and cheese into strips, tomatoes into slices, onions into half rings. Let's prepare the sauce – add garlic passed through a press and chopped dill to the sour cream.
We take a sheet of pita bread and generously grease the edge with sauce. Put meat, cheese, cucumber, tomato on top. Carefully roll up the shawarma with a tight roll, rolling up the pita from the sides. Press a little to make the shawarma denser.
Quickly fry on both sides in a pan heated to the maximum. Shawarma is ready! Delicious!
