In search of an answer to the question of how to live longer, scientists came to the conclusion that the habit of having dinner around seven o'clock in the evening (around 7:00 p.m.) is associated with a longer life span.
Habits, according to associated with food, can significantly affect a person's well-being and life expectancy. Data from a new study published in the journal Frontiers in Nutrition confirms this. The study was focused on residents of Abruzzo , a region of Southern Italy with a large number of long-lived people over 100 years old.
After analyzing their diet, experts found that the test subjects followed a strict calorie regime. According to the scientists, this type of calorie-restricted diet prevents nocturnal postprandial stress and also optimizes the metabolic response associated with plant-based food consumption and physical activity. All this, the researchers believe, provides a propensity for life.
In addition, they found that long-lived people most often ate dinner around seven o'clock in the evening.
“A later dinner is associated with an increase in heart rate -vascular diseases, such as stroke and heart failure,” experts suggest.
