Do you use your phone in the toilet? The doctor explained why it is harmful to health

Old habits die hard, and the wrong habit of using the toilet is one of the most vivid examples of this proverb. People make endless mistakes when going to the toilet, which can turn out to be harmful. One of the most common seems harmless at first: smartphone addiction.
“Using a cell phone in the bathroom is one of the least hygienic things you can do. Many people spend time while defecating scrolling through social media pages, scrolling through dating apps or playing online games.”
However, as the online pharmacist explained, phone-to-phone means it can be infected with germs.
“As a result, even after you've washed your hands, you're still carrying some seriously harmful bacteria down the toilet.”
Mobile bacteria
Tests have shown that the average mobile phone contains 18 times more potentially harmful germs than a men's toilet flush handle.
An analysis of mobile phones found that almost a quarter of them were so dirty that they had ten times the allowable level of bacteria. One of the phones in the test had bacteria levels so high that it could cause its owner a serious stomach upset.
Bacteria are not an immediate threat to your health, but elevated levels indicate bad personal hygiene and serves as a breeding ground for other microbes.
Other bacteria, including Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, which cause food poisoning, but in safe quantities, have been found on phones.
