Doctors called the duration of the walk for longevity

To achieve longevity, you should change some habits and start leading a healthy way life, doctors note. They drew attention to the fact that a certain type of physical activity can protect the body from diseases, thus affecting life expectancy.

Previously, several studies have already linked walking and other moderate-intensity exercises with longevity, but the new work of scientists, studied the relationship between walking time and life expectancy.

So, experts tracked 27,738 participants aged 40 to 79. They then collected information about their lives over a 13-year period.

It turned out that volunteers who walked for an hour a day had a greater life expectancy than those who walked less.

In addition, participants from the first category, especially men, spent less on medical expenses after age 40.
